Wait, Finally over

Yes, the wait is over. Finally the results of the worlds largest election is underway and the saffron is heading towards a historical win with BJP alone crossing the half way mark and Congress decimated to it's lowest tally ever with just 44. I am sure the wait has been nail biting for all the political parties and NDA majorly after the exit polls presented a clear majority for them. The arithmetic had already begun a few days back with the exit poll (specifically conducted by chanakya) predictions giving a mandate to the main opposition party. The biggies visiting each other to carve a strategy in place in order to make the government formation smooth enough for them.

Politics is such an interesting subject. It has been the heart of our country from ancient times. You need to keep your cards close to your chest till the last moment and be diplomatic for your benefit. It's the same way politics work in corporations and business houses. Don't we maintain our cool at times thinking of future prospect with our peers and superiors? We always do and only selfishly work for our benefit, not as a charity to others. The only main objective that stays in our mind is growth, money, power and position. I agree, we may think of charity outside our work zone. However the thing that keeps us going at our " karma bhoomi" is our personal goal. Why do we blame the politicians then? I understand we should oppose anti-social elements, but not all politicians are alike. There are different categories, the same way there are different kinds of people at our workplace. Do we get along with everyone? No. And if anyone does, he is the greatest politician of all times.

Doordarshan used to play a serial called "Chanakya" based on the greatest  Arthashastra (economics and political science) guru called Chanakya who helped Chandragupta Maurya to overthrow the incompetent Nanda dynasty. Nothing can better showcase the twists and turns of a regime than this serial. Even our epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata vividly showcase the importance of politics in our society.

The youth of today should take more interest in all the happenings around since it affects each one of us. With the powerful technology and vigilant media these days following the world is at the back of our hands. I was overwhelmed to  know that the voting turnout this time has been the highest which is applaudable. And I am positive that the percentage turnout will increase with each passing year. As per the recent debates in media it is going to be a Herculean task for the next government to improve the economic state of our country after a decade of fall. I just wish the new cabinet and Mr Narendra Modi all the very best and remind them of their promises in making India shining vision true to the core.
