What a comeback! Keanu Reeves as John Wick

What a comeback! These were the first three words that I exclaimed after watching John Wick. Keanu Reeves is at his best just like in The Matrix, serious, determined and confident. He is a perfect-fit for this role of an ace assassin who is forced to come back after his retirement in order to take revenge from a big shot don. From the inception of the movie the deadly fear that comes along with John Wick is revealed. He is portrayed as an injured tiger ready to take revenge at any cost since he has nothing more to lose.

The story revolves around love, revenge, friendship, commitment and is a total fun for the action movie lovers. No drama but the right amount of emotion to justify the reactions of the hero. John Wick is leading a lone retired life when a goon's son steals his car and kills his pet dog which was a gift from his dying wife. This makes him furious, ready to take on anything and everything that comes in his way to avenge the trauma that he goes through after his wife's death. All the characters in this movie have done a good job including Willam Dafoe( the green goblin from Spiderman) who plays his only friend. The main villain of the movie, the culprit's dad played by Michael Nyqvist is also commendable. With Gone Girl and Nightcrawler off the multiplexes and no attractive Bollywood movie around, I would say John Wick would be the best bet for a weekend fun.
