The long awaited Break

My last weekend, like most of them started on a real bad note. This time with loads of household work on top of my head since the maid did not turn up for a few days. I had a heap of work from washing clothes to
watering plants, brooming and mopping but I made sure that all the task is completed on Saturday itself since I had an exciting Sunday to plan for. So all in all, Saturday ended in fatigue, but with an awesome sound
sleep.

Then came Sunday with loads of serendipity in store for me. The day started with the morning show of the most awaited movie, X-men days of future past. It was a superb movie, with the character Quicksilver, named Peter making an effective presence on the screen. It would not be wrong to say that the audience was left wanting more of action involving this character, especially the scene in which Quicksilver is on a mission to free Magneto aka Eric from the impenetrable prison. The scene was a combination of music, fun and a small show off of the lightening fast power of Quicksilver. The character is shown to be a kleptomaniac who has filled up his underground garage with all possible stuff from eggs to batteries and so on. I guess it is just the introduction, and Marvel will definitely come up with more of Quicksilver. Even Raven, aka Mystique has a major part to play with a few good action scenes and Lawrence has done a good job like in all her movies. Jackman and McAvoy have also been impressive. All in all a thumps up movie for me and in desi language,"paisa vasool". Enjoy the small piece attached for you below.

Next stop for us was a shawarma at Al-zaitoon which was average compared to the ones available in Kerala. After hogging shawarma, we moved on to pay a visit to a lounge named Staying alive, only to realise it's closed forever. Then came a surprise gift for me, a beautiful, shiny silver earring. We and our friends enjoyed window shopping for about 2 hrs but did not find anything eye-catching. There after on our way back to drop our friends, we visited Cyber Hub. It's an open diner, with multiple cuisine restaurants and cafés to choose from. Our pit stop here was The Hard Rock Cafe. I must say the place was total fun and the food was too good with Metallica being played on the LED at our back. We ordered mock tails and cock tails with nachos as snacks. The nachos were served with loads of cheese, jalapeños, tomato, kidney beans and onions topping. It was heavy even for the four of us. Also the service was extremely good and kept us pepped up. We stayed there for almost 4 hrs enjoying every moment of it.

This day covered up for the entire week's hardwork and fatigue. We started at 10 in the morning and reached home at 8 in the night after all the fun and frolic. It was a well deserved break for us after which we slept like logs and were charged up for another week of toil starting Monday.
